Madeleine's Master of Music Recital
For the culmination of her Masters degree, Madeleine will be presenting a recital at the University of Southern California.
Featuring the music of Purcell, Poulenc, Messiaen, Thomas, Sibelius, Madetoja, Granados, and Ponce, and performances by Lucy Yates, harpsichord, Cathy Yang, piano, and Mircea Gogoncea, guitar.

Bear in All the Truths We Cannot See
Madeleine will sing the role of the Bear in the world premiere of Uljas Pulkiss’s opera All the Truths We Cannot See, a fictionalized retelling of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. This production is presented in collaboration with the Sibelius Academy of Music and the University of Southern California.
Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice
Madeleine will perform the title role of Euridice in the University of Southern California’s fall production of Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice.
Sewanee Music Festival Opera Scenes
Madeleine will be singing the role of Giulietta in scenes from Bellini’s I Capuleti e I Montecchi.
Adéle in Die Fledermaus with Berlin Opera Academy
CANCELLED
Postponed until June 2021 due to COVID-19, Madeleine is thrilled to return to Berlin Opera Academy as Adéle in Die Fledermaus this summer.
Yniold in Pelléas et Mélisande
Madeleine will perform the role of Yniold in the University of Southern California’s spring production of Debussy’s Pelleas et Mélisande.
Love from a Distance
Join the artists of Love from a Distance for an evening of early Broadway and 40s popular love songs, benefitting COVID-19 relief.
Co-produced by Madeleine Lew and Karen Fried, featuring the melodies of Cole Porter, Jules Styne, Nicolas Brodzky, and many others, Love from a Distance was curated in loving memory of Annette Kallenbach and Herman Julius Lew.
Presenting the artists:
Elise Lawrence, Elisa Chan, and Jason Byer at the piano, with singers Courtney McPhail, Karen Notovitz, Mia Skolnick, Edmond Rodriguez, Isabella Uhl, Ricardo Garcia, Madeleine Lew, and Sarah Lew on the cello.
